Hi! my name is willow allen!

I am a senior Strategic Communications and Digital Media Arts major with a Professional Writing minor. Throughout my college career, I have grown increasingly interested in non-profit organizations. After taking Non-Profit Communication with Professor Dewey during a May term, I realized that this was a field that I would love to work in.

The goal of this blog is for you (and I) to become more familiar with the common practices of non-profit organizations and the ways in which communication is utilized within them. I will interview members of different non-profits in and around Harrisonburg for each blog post, and we'll both hear what they have to say! These blogs will give me the opportunity to demonstrate my interpersonal communication, interviewing, and writing skills and you the opportunity to be soo impressed and inspired! In addition, I will make connections within the non-profit field, ideally increasing my future job prospects (which will make you look good, if you're one of my professors).
